Google Announced The Pixel 4 And Pixel 4X

The Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL have been officially announced by Google and beyond the leaks and rumors.

At the Google event 2019 Today, the search giant made a display of its latest lineups of production, although the latest Google Pixels which had been subjected to countless rumors and predictions took the most attention from the audience, and of course, it is worth the many hypes so far.

At the event, Google started off by talking about the unique chip that is hosted in the new flagships- a Soli radar chip that is said will enable gesture control. On that note, users can make use of the feature to command the phone without actual contact.

While that is not the best spec of the new Pixels phones, both devices come with a 90Hz refresh rate OLED display. What this means is that output from the screen, such as pages of social media platforms, or news fields will appear much more fluid than what it used to be on the other devices. This otherwise means that scrolling through the screen will be more engaging.

As we have earlier had from rumors, the new Pixel phones maintain the perfection of the Pixel 3 Camera that was ranked number one for their camera tech. Now, with the Pixel 4 and 4 XL, the technology has only gotten even better.

Both the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL packs multiple cameras, with 12.2-megapixel f/1.7 main, 16-megapixel f/2.4 telephoto, and 8-megapixel selfie cameras. That puts them nearly on par with the iPhone 11 and Huawei’s P30 Pro — two of their biggest competitors with respect to camera functionality. That been said, the new Pixel phones, however, missed out in the offering of a wide-angle lens which makes other brands stand out, however, there are more to the Pixel 4 camera tech than that.

the phones feature a dual-lens rear camera, a 90Hz ‘Smooth Display’, a Snapdragon 855 chipset, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB storage, not to mention some notably chunky bezels that we’d hoped were going to have slimmed down ahead of launch – that doesn’t appear to be the case.

As for the video, the cameras can handle 4K at up to 30 fps and 1080p at 120 fps. The Pixel 4 will use a combination of optical zoom via the second camera, and the “Super Res Zoom” software introduced on the Pixel 3 to deliver sharp images. All you have to do is pinch to zoom in or out on the image, and you’ll get what Google calls “optical quality” for every photo.

As previously confirmed by Google, two standout new features found on its latest flagships are Motion Sense and Face Unlock. The former uses Soli, the company’s own radar-based motion-sensing technology, to recognize gestures when you’re nearby. You’re able to skip songs, snooze alarms, and silence phone calls with a wave of the hand. Soli also helps Face Unlock work much faster, by switching on the sensor as you reach for the phone.

Google also detailed a recording app that can transcribe voice recordings. And it’s not just capable of transcribing, it can dive into recordings to find mentions of any word or sound.

As for the availability, Google reported that you won’t necessarily have to subscribe to Verizon if you want to buy a Pixel phone directly from the US carrier, informing that the Pixel 4 series will be available across all major US networks including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, C Spire, Cellcom, Spectrum Mobile, Visible and Xfinity Mobile to carry the Android flagships.

There may be variations in price, but Similar to Apple this year, the Pixel 4 and 4 XL actually come in marginally cheaper compared to last year’s Pixel 3 and 3 XL, which launched at ÂŁ739 and ÂŁ869, respectively for the base models. The Pixel 4 starts at ÂŁ669/$799 for the 64GB model and costs ÂŁ769/$899 for the 128GB SKU, while the 4 XL starts at ÂŁ829/$899 and also costs ÂŁ100/$100 to double the storage.

It’s also worth noting that the Oh So Orange version of both sizes of Pixel 4, which is considered a special edition, can only be had with 64GB of internal storage.

It is expected that The two phones launched at the company’s ‘Made by Google’ 2019 event in October and are available to pre-order until they arrive on October 24th, 2019.
