Windows 10 may get integrated video conferencing attribute as Microsoft is trying it

Microsoft has proclaimed the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 20211 and revealed this Cumulative Update Build comes with no new features and is relatively built to try their servicing pipeline. However Microsoft is trying numerous features behind and Rafael Rivera, a Microsoft developer discovered one of those testings via a tweet. According to the developer, the company is trying a new capability to incorporate Skype’s Meet Now video conferencing feature straight into the operating system. He has also shared screenshots that show what this fresh capability will appear like.

The developer places no exact facts on the same although BleepingComputer was able to explain it more. If this feature goes live in the future it will add a small button to the Windows 10 system tray from where users can begin.Windows 10 system tray from where users can begin.

As clear from the screenshot above, this button will initiate the Skype’s Meet Now immediately you tap on it. As the tech publication explains, as soon as it is clicked on, a flyout will emerge, letting you to “Create a meeting” or “Join a meeting.” Clicking on whichever one will launch the Skype app and automatically begin the right feature.

In a situation where the Skype app is not installed, Windows 10 will open a browser to create or join a Skype website meeting from where you can create or join a meeting.

It is reasonable to state this browser can be Microsoft’s own Edge that can begin the procedure. Last month it was observed that Microsoft Edge New Tab Page at present shows the Meet Now push-button for Skype. It was spotted in the Canary build, so the prospect of it becoming a truth was fewer. However, it was an excellent hint of what’s looming. It was a Twitter user Florian B who noticed this Meet Now push the button and shared a few screenshots of it.

BleepingComputer points out that is very likely that this feature may never get on Windows 10 or require much time to get incorporated into the shell. Because Microsoft continues to develop and experiment with fresh features and it does not suggest that all features will make the cut. Although this instance, it does look like Microsoft would build the feature deep into its operating system and make it accessible soon.

Video conferencing apps and tools are rising because of the pandemic currently. And, it is excellent to see that Microsoft is making efforts to continue offering it in the future.
