Google’s Phone app Beta can be installed on any phone

The app Google’s Phone (dialer) got added to some non-Google devices as back as April. Via Android Police, the app is now available to be downloaded on more Smartphone brands as well. This app works both on OnePlus and Samsung and devices as Android Police has made known. We can corroborate that it works on the OnePlus 8 Pro.

You can install it by enrolling in the App’s Beta program via this link on your computer, and then downloading the app via the Play Store on your desktop. Finding the Phone app isn’t easy on the Play Store app, but you can use this direct link here.

Unfortunately, the Google Pixel’s finest feature – Call Screening – is unavailable to devices other than Pixel phones in the US. We hope soon Google decides to make this feature available on non-Pixel devices one day, because it’s by far a key selling point in a world where frustrating spam calls ring daily.

Please note that the App is in Beta, so incoming/outgoing phone calls have the probable for the rare wonkiness depending on your model. The Beta program also depends on your geological location and may be unavailable in your country of residence.
