The long-awaited Telegram’s video calling feature is now close to launching because it is already available for beta users on the iOS platform. Moreover, several users on Twitter also suggested that the video calling feature on the Telegram app on iOS beta has gone live for them.

Telegram announced via its channel on its app that a 6.3 beta version for iOS brings a “long-awaited” video calling feature. Telegram also mentions steps to enable the feature.

You need to go to debug menu settings (tap 10 times on the gear settings icon) and turn on the “Experimental Feature” switch. This will bring up the new option called “Video call” with its icon on your profile screen.
While announcing the new feature, Telegram notes that your partner also needs to have this option turned on their Telegram to receive the call.
Telegram 6.3 beta can be installed directly from the App Store using TestFlight.

The video calling feature in the Telegram is a much-wanted one and while the company always knew that its popular app is deprived of one of the basic features, it only decided now to bring it finally.
While announcing the 400M monthly users back in April, the company emphasizes that now it is their paramount responsibility to bring the video calling feature because now is the best time to introduce it.

Telegram took the reference to the pandemic due to which the whole world is maintaining physical distance with their loved ones. So, it became vital for the company to stay in the growing competition which was actually getting dominated by some existing and emerging video calling apps. We are not certain of its arrival date for telegram users, but we hope soon.
