Honor Band 6 smudges the difference between smartwatch and smartband

Honor launches its latest listing of the smart band which is a big upgrade on the previous year’s model. The latest Honor Band 6 comes with a 1.47-inch AMOLED panel with a 194 x 368-pixel decree and 2.5D curved glass. This successfully places Band 6 in the smartwatch category when talking about the screen size. The new band is spacious and broader than its predecessor while it seems to be a number of millimeters shorter. In a different place, functionality is quite comparable to the previous year’s model.

Band 6 still performs the heart rate tracking function, sleep tracking, blood oxygen monitoring, and women’s health supervision. It also tenders activity tracking for 10 different sports with routine detection and is waterproof up to 50-meter depths. As soon as you pair it with your smartphone via Bluetooth, it can buzz your wrist with notifications and manage music playback.

There is also the choice to select between plethoras of watch faces using the smartphone companion app. The listed dimensions of the smart band without the strap are 43 × 25.4 × 11.45mm and it weighs 18 grams. You can Charge it through a proprietary magnetic hold and it has a battery life which can last up to 14 days though this is apparently with the battery saver mode.

The Honor Band 6 will be available for purchase at $37 and the NFC built model will be available at $43. The official sale is believed to start from November for those who pre-order in China as from tomorrow. Global availability is not yet known.
