5g Technology Linked With Covid-19 False Contents To be Overpower By Youtube

News has been flying around as regards 5G and Covid-19 been linked together in which some claim its conspiracy. In this regard, You set to remove any video that tends to spread false news. Video contents that show and promote 5G technology that is not related to the COVID-19 will not be removed. It will, however, be removed from search results.

Seven cellular base stations have been set on fire in the United Kingdom and four in the past 24 hours. This is as a result of online conspiracy theories linking the cellular base stations and the coronavirus pandemic. None of the cellular base stations set on fire was even a 5G mast.

Speaking on the issue, a YouTube spokesperson told in an interview said the company has  “clear policies that prohibit videos promoting medically unsubstantiated methods to prevent the coronavirus in place of seeking medical treatment. It has started reducing recommendations of borderline content such as conspiracy theories related to 5G and coronavirus, that could misinform users in harmful ways.”

We hope with this new approach by YouTube, it would distance fraudsters and deceptive video content creators from recommending false cures about the coronavirus.
