Top 10 Mistakes That Can Destroy Your Dream of First Class Degree

Top 10 Mistakes That Can Destroy Your Dream of First Class Degree As a graduate who came very close to finishing with a first class in engineering, I can easily identify errors that cost students the prestigious first class degree. I made one or two of these mistakes. Over the span of five years that I spent in the university, I saw lots of people make the same mistakes outlined here. Many brilliant students start with the initial dream of graduating with a first class, only to end up struggling to even finish with a 2.1. Obtaining a first class takes a great deal of hardwork, consistency, intelligence but most importantly discipline. Commit these errors and your chances of getting a first class will be very slim if not nil. 1. 6 Common Excuses You Should Stop Making Today

Ever since we were children, we’ve been told countless times to pursue our dreams, and to fight for what we want in life. However, since our goals can sometimes seem unattainable, we tend to find reasons to justify our lack of action. Here are 6 common excuses we make, and why to reconsider them: 1. “I don’t have enough time.” Nobody has enough time. We’re all frantically running around our daily activities, attempting to get through our daily tasks without wanting to jump off the nearest bridge. It may seem impossible at first, but you have to gradually establish a manageable balance based on what is most important to you. By then, you’ll realize that time isn’t the real issue holding you back from what you want – it’s all a matter of priorities. 2. “I’m scared I’ll mess up.” Honestly, you probably will.  We’ve all made mistakes, and we’re also more knowledgeable because of them. However, over the years I’ve learned to accept that it’s critical to push yourself in life to effectively grow. If you constantly let your fear get in the way of trying new things, you’ll never make progress toward where you hope to ultimately be. So take a deep breath and try. 3. “I’ll start tomorrow.” What’s wrong with right now? The longer you delay, the longer your journey will inevitably be. Plus, the more you...
